My title would have been so much better if it were Tuesday or Thursday but sometimes things just don’t work out exactly the way you want them too. #wompwomp.
1) My momma has been in town visiting. She came in on Thursday and we’ve pretty much been busy little bees the whole time she was here. I know you are DYING to see what I ate the whole time she was here. Well you know what? You are in luck! Here is the majority…sometimes I get too excited to eat and I just don’t even thinking about taking a pic so some meals are missing. I am sure you will survive.
Picked mom up from the airport and we went to Panera for lunch. I had my favorite salad, the thai chicken. Ever since I had it the first time, I don’t know that I have ever had anything else. #itsthatgood
Thursday night I made dinner. Broccoli Chicken casserole. Its so easy and tastes so good. I failed on pics, but I really need to take some and post the recipe. Mental note.
Friday I had a hair appointment early and then afterward we went to the nearby mexican restaurant. I had the most delish chicken tortilla soup I think I have ever had. Granted I have only had it at two different places but this one really kicked the other places butt. It was perfectly spicy and warm and wonderful.
We snacked on chips salsa and guac before (and during) the meal. Mom had the taco salad in the background.
Friday night we went to an Italian restaurant before a movie. I had chicken parm and some fettucini Alfredo. To hungry to stop for a pic. Sorry. No really, I am sorry, it was really good and I would have like to have showed it to you. I guess I will just have to go back and have it again!?
Saturday was tulip fest day!! More to come on this later, but wanted to give you a sneak peak of what its like. Imagine this but like a lot more. A LOT. And lots of colors. And beauty. I look forward to it every year!
After ogling all the tulips we hit up La Conner, WA and made our way to the Calico Cupboard for lunch. They are famous for their baked goods. And their food.
I had the fish tacos. The waitress said they were the best item on the menu. They were good, but honestly I have had better. They were kind of “runny”. Everyone else’s food looked great though and everyone was happy with their meal.
Saturday night we met up with a bunch of friends at a food court so we could all have whatever we wanted. I chose red chicken curry. One of my favorites.
And then we of course hit up some fro-yo. Mom had never had it so we had to get her in on all the goodness. She was an instant fan. I’ve got chocolate, white chocolate macadamia nut and grapefruit under there. No red velvet
BOO.
2) (I know, #1 seemed so long ago…) packing is in full swing. We are t minus 6 days until moving day. Boxes everywhere, it never seems to end. Dust, dirt and garbage bags are infesting every room. I really hate moving. BUT I am really super duper excited to get into the new house and get settled in. There are a lot of things I don’t like about the house we are in now and I think we will be much more comfortable in the new one. Until we move again. Blech. We will get there, we will get there…..
3) I had to say good bye to my little love Chloe today. DON’T WORRY, she is OK….We had a slight miscommunication with our new landlord and we can only have two dogs. SO my mom took little Chloe girl off to vaykay at her house temporarily until we do our final final move. Whenever and wherever that will be is still undetermined. She took her first plane ride today and she is a little nervous nelly as it is, so I have been an emotional wreck today worrying about her. Crying all kinds at the airport, cuddling her as much as possible in the past 24 hours. I know she is in great hands and will be spoiled rotten at g-ma’s house, but I’m gonna miss this little face terribly!

btw…Movie Monday is just not gonna happen this week. I’ve got a movie to review, but NO TIME to do it.
Also, since this is the week before moving, AND we have small group on Monday AND we are going to a Coldplay concert on Wednesday, AND we both have to work all week…..working out AND posting is probably going to be on the light end this week. I am suffering from what I’m sure a lot of other bloggers go through…tons to say and no time to get it out there and posted. It’s frustrating, but I also know that life isn’t always this busy and its temporary. Anyway, thanks for listening and for sticking around. It means a lot to me.
How do you deal with having “too much to do” and still get blogging/workouts in?

Oh my word. Chloe is sooo beautiful!! I would be so sad if I had to part with a dog for a while, but I’m glad she has a good home. Love those Panera salads!
thanks! I miss her little face so much already. I have her as the screen saver on my comp so I can see her all the time!
What fun!!! All your eats look delicious. And your pictures really do them justice. I’m envious of your guacamole.
Oh MAN it was GOOOD!!! Is it wrong to want to eat chips/salsa and guac pretty much every day? If it is, then I don’t want to be right!! LOL.
all that food looks fabulous!
workouts are so tricky for me… its really all about routine. since my training is scheduled everyday (at a particular time each day, though i can choose which days i want to go) it helps because i am FORCED to go at that time or not go at all.
blogging can be tricky. I try to have a few posts written out and ready when i DO have time, so that i can easily go in and add a couple things and be done and post it real quick when i really dont have time to put effort into it (i always do those surveys, “get to know me things,” etc when I have time and just save them for later!
great idea on the surveys. I have done a couple of those in the past and I think they are fun and easy to do beforehand. I have some posts all ready to go ahead of time too b/c I do think that makes it easier when life kind of “gets in the way”. Isn’t this blogging so interesting? I never know it could be so frustrating/inspiring/fun and stressful all in it’s own little way. Fascinating! I love it.
Just remember, blogging isn’t your job. It doesn’t pay the bills. So don’t stress about it. We’ll still be here the rest of the week, waiting to see what you have to say next.
Love ya, lady. Glad you had such a nice weekend with your mom!!!
I appreciate you so much! thank you and you are right…it totally doesn’t pay the bills and should not be stressed about.
dito to what kristen says! its a hobby/for fun – and if you make it a chore or obligation you wont like it anymore! We still love you and we all know how busy life is
awww you all make me feel special!
Welcome back to the 505 Chloe!
I pretty much always have too much to do and not enough time so the answer to your question is I just don’t get to blog or work out as much as I’d like to. Even now, Cyan is asleep and I snuck away for some computer time! Sometimes I just tell myself that maybe it wasn’t going to be a great post or I don’t need to write everything that comes to me and I save up in my noggin’ as a memory:)
thanks friend.
I love that we are always in sync.
Little Chloe has moved in, established territory and taken over.
It will be a fun few months. No worries, all will be fine.
she has a tendency of doing that…:)
