Two things
1) gonna do another something different this Movie Monday and we are gonna look at what is in my (our) Netflix queue at the moment.
2) I hate spelling the word queue. It always trips me up. Never fails. Two “ue”‘s? Idk what it is, but it gets me. And the only time the word queue is relevant in my life is when I’m talking about Netflix. I should just switch to red box and be done with it already.
OK, so what do we have coming soon to our now-very-far-away-from-our-house mailbox? (Sidenote…at our old house the big metal contraption that has all the mail for the surrounding houses was smack dab in front of our house so it was pretty easy to run outside, grab and go. Now, in our new house, the big mailbox thing is down the street and around the corner! Takes at least a good minute to walk there. I KNOW RIGHT?)
Anywhooooos, this is what is on its way once we send back The Bucket List (cute but nothing to write home about) and Conan the Barbarian (umm…not sure how that even ended up at the house and has been sitting by the TV for over a month now).

1: Ultramarathon Man
Some guy running 50 marathons in 50 states in 50 days? I don’t care if you could care less about running, that has to sound cool. I am imagining inspiration, tears and blisters might occur just from watching?

2: The Ides of March
Two words: Gosling. Clooney.

But really, mostly Gosling.

3: Super 8
Didn’t see this in the theater, b/c someone told me it was really scary for kids. I have heard from numerous people since then that is not really the case. And they have told me its really good. Thus it has made its way to the queue (still messed me up even though I have typed it like 10 times in this post already)

Apparently there is a lot of “pensive looking upward” that goes on in the movie?

4: Hanna
I have seen this already but Paul hasn’t. I am totes down to watch it again b/c it was that good. I’m excited to write up a review on it, but I need to see it again first before I do.

So thats it. Based on the rate we actually have time to watch movies at home it will take us about 3.6 months to get through this list of four movies.
Have you seen any of these? Thoughts?
What’s currently in your Netflix queue?
What word trips you up?

Word humor… I LOVE word humor….
I’m a ridiculous scardy cat when it comes to scary movies. But that marathon movie sounds cool! I heard about that guy, but didn’t know they made his story into a movie (probably because I live under a movie rock!).

well I will be sure to review it and let you know how it is! I’m pretty excited to watch it, I just cant imagine even one marathon, much less 50!!!
I loved super 8, but I would have been kinda scared seeing it as a kid. I was very easily scared as a child… if I’m the person who said this to you I’m sorry!!!
I liked the ides of march. It’s kinda intense but really good.
I want to watch that marathon man documentary… is it streaming?
No, the marathon movie isn’t streaming but there are another couple about running that are. I can’t remember what they are called. I am sure I will talk about them in my review though!
And no, you weren’t the person who told me it was scary. I can’t remember exactly who it was, but it was someone in person I am almost sure of!
anything with ryan gosling is sure to be delightful

agreed! I can’t wait to check it out!!
“reciept” always type it wrong! That and when people use “irregardless” because it is jst “regardless” otherwise “irregardless” technically cancels itself out haha

YEA!! Someone who gets why “irregardless” doesn’t mean what folks think it means!
And you meant to type “receipt,” right? ( “i” before “e” except after “c” ….) (I nearly always get that one wrong.) Thank goodness for spell check.
oh my goodness I hear ya on that one. Receipt reminds me that I can also never spell recipe. I always want to put an extra “i”
recipie? Who knows why our brains work the way they do! HA!
Actually, recipie would be more appropriate for a menu item, right?
ha ha ha…very funny MOM
