How is it Wednesday again? Why don’t the weekends come as fast as Wednesdays? I NEED ANSWERS PEOPLE.
Ok, I will calm down now.
Welcome to What I ate (out) last Friday. Or WIA(O)LF. Love me some acronyms.

I didn’t plan this at all, but last Friday I ended up eating out for every meal. Who does that? This gal I guess. So the theme this week is “a day in the life of paying more money than you should for food you could probably make at home.” Mouthful.
Breakfast: Starbucks
Had my beloved perfect oatmeal from Sbucks. Perfect b/c it fits on top of my coffee cup…well, perfectly. In the cup was a skinny vanilla latte.
I don’t like fruit in my breakfast, so a pinch of the brown sugar and all the nuts go in and the berry medley ends up who knows where. This stuff is good.
Lunch: Ooba Tooba
Yep, I spelled that right. This place opened up near work and I had been wanting to try it for a while.
Apparently its the best mex in town. Can you believe that? And so close to my work. What are the odds?
The menu was on the side of the restaurant as opposed to behind the counter which was actually a little weird. Its amazing how you can forget what you were going to order in the 5 seconds it takes to look at this and then go to the register.
Luckily this cute gal was there to help me. My gal pal Jocelyn was my lunch buddy for the day.
They had an AWESOME salsa bar. One thing I love at restaurants is a good salsa bar with lots of choices. This did not disappoint.
We tried four of them and hands down our favorite was the green tomatillo. We ended up going back and getting two more little containers of it. We got a order of guac as well. It wasnt as good as my famous guac, but it will still pretty good. We ate it on up.
Jocelyn apparently likes to hand photo bomb pictures just like Paul does.
I had sour cream with a side of shrimp tacos, beans and rice.
They were good, but that sour cream was just too much. I dumped off the majority of it and just focused on the tacos themselves.
I loved this place so much I went back there for lunch again on Monday. Oops!
Dinner: Red Robin….(yuuuum!)
Impromptu dinner out. Long story about why it was impromptu…blah blah blah…kids. There you go…that’s all you really need to know.
Paul and K-dawg had a little race while we were waiting. I think the Suburban won.
Red robin had some new stuff on their menu. Like this:
I didn’t have one. I never understand how people get milkshakes as their drink to go with their dinner. That just never made sense to me. It’s dessert people.
We started with the only reason people go to Red Robin…a basket of salty carbs. YUM.
This is ANOTHER new thing RR is doing. How cool is that? Fryfecta. Ha. Get it? They are so clever. We didn’t notice this until after the basket had already arrived otherwise we would have gotten it. Those onion strings….I have no words.
I started with a simple garden salad with a drizzle of ranch (b/c it was mostly gone from using it with the fries, not b/c I was trying to be healthy)
And then had one of the other new items that was on their menu.
A hummus plate with carrots, cucumbers, pita bread, grilled zucchini and jicama. JICAMA!! Love that stuff and never see it anywhere. Its like crunchy water.
And the even better news is that it was huge and I could barely even eat half of it, so the other half was enjoyed on Saturday for lunch. Love getting two meals out of one. Eating out WINNING.
And there you have it. Now I need to go get a second job to pay for all of this.
And for those who were inquiring…the trip we booked is to Cabo, Mexico. OLE!! 54 days baby.

I love red robin! The chicken bruschetta sandwich is da bomb! That mexican restaurant had me drooling. When I come to seattle to finally meet you and because it’s in my top 10 vacation destinations, you must take me there.

I KNEW you would love the Mexican restaurant.I thought of you when taking pics of the salsa! Come visit…but you better hurry b/c I don’t know how long we will be here!
They JUST built a Red Robin near my house in Miami and Will has been begging me to go as soon as we arrive (he used to live in California and has experienced it before). After seeing that they have hummus, I can’t say that I’ll be able to argue
