Thankful Tuesday

by eatpraytri on July 3, 2012

I’m thankful…..

For 5am wakeup quiet time with my husband…

For a full time job…

For a 1 1/2 hour commute every day so that I have dedicated time to think, pray and listen to sermons…

For a husband, two step kids and two dogs who keep my house noisy, messy and full of laughs…

For technology which is an amazing blessing even though it can be soooo incredibly difficult at times when it doesn’t do what I want it to do…

For crock-pots…

For my tempurpedic bed after two nights of air-matress tent sleeping…

For the piles of laundry on the floor since it means we have plenty of clothes to wear…

For the freshly stocked fridge (ahem…thank you Costco) that will keep our bellies full for another few weeks…

We had a great time camping this weekend and I am pretty much exhausted on the catch up. But its one of those good exhausted. Here is a sneak peek at our time in the “wilderness”.

I certainly like how you think! :) .
I too have a 1 1/2 hr commute to school everyday, and in this Texas weather, that’s no bueno! Usually I just zone out, but I’m going to try your method. Meditate on God’s word and just converse with him.. I don’t think I do enough of that lately. I’m glad you had SUCH a wonderful time camping :) . Hope you’re having a blessed day!

Have I told you lately how proud I am to be your mom? Just in case …
I AM PROUD TO BE YOUR MOM!

And I love you to pieces.

“For a 1 1/2 hour commute every day”…… Yikes! I admire your lemonade-making skills! For now, I only have a 15 minute commute, but pre-baby it sometimes would turn into a 1 1/2 hour rideabout on lonely county roads home since I commute by motorcycle everyday.

I used to have 15 min and honestly now I don’t mind the longer times b/c it does give me time to enjoy the quiet and alone time. My hubby loves to commute by motorcycle too! Its a great gas saver…but since it rains here a lot he doesn’t do it. I feel for him b/c I know he loves it so much.

I was feeling overwhelmed and blue last night so I decided I needed an attitude change. I challenged myself to look at all of the things that were stressing me out as positives instead of negatives. Man, it’s amazing how perspective can really turn things around! :)
