If you subscribe to my blog my email or in reader, you probably already got a sneak peek of this on Saturday. Mental note: don’t work on blogging when its late at night and you’ve been busy all day and you are exhausted. You will have blurry eyes and think that the “publish” button is pretty much the same as the “save draft” button.
——————-
I’ve seen this going around the blog world for a few weeks now and since I love a good structured way to put together a blog post…here we go. The ABC’s of things that make this girl happy.
A- Apple. The computer not the food. (Although apples do make me happy too.) I do love my MacBookAir a LOT, however the one thing I am finding that it lacks is a robust blogging software that compares with Windows Live Writer. I’ve done my research and it just looks like this is one area that Macs just don’t live up. Oh well, I will live. The screen shot ability almost makes up for it.
B- Bible. Don’t leave home without it.

C- my little Chloe girl. Event though she’s not here right now, every time I think of my sweet little one it makes me happy
D- Dark Chocolate. It has grown on me over the years and I prefer dark in all situations now. I mean don’t get me wrong, I won’t turn away milk or white, but if Dark is available, that’s what I’m goin for.
I know that doesn’t have anything to do with Dark Chocolate specifically, but it was just too funny to not include.
E- eatPRAYtri. I do love my little space on the web. Putting my creativity into this and having people respond to it….its just not quite like anything else I have experienced. I can hardly remember life before blogging, and while to some I’m sure it must seem silly, to me it means a lot.
F- Flip Flops. I got these new white ones and they are seriously the best flip flops I have ever owned. I don’t want to ever take them off. Comfortable, fit perfectly, and they aren’t ugly. Winning x 3.
G- Guinness! My main man. Makes my heart smile.
H- Home…where the heart is….for now…
I- Inspiration. Self explanatory…
J- Journals. Those who know me well know I have been journaling for years. Ever since I was little actually. I have a journal that I started when I was 10 and wrote in until I was around 15 (I think) It is a hysterical read, I tell you. (ohhhh…..blog post idea!) I have been journaling off and on in various ways and forms ever since then. For me there is just something cathartic about writing my thoughts down on paper and editing them into functional sentences.

K- Kyle and Kaylee. These two crazy kids are a handful, but I love their ages because it just brings back so many memories of being that age and just about to be a “teenager”. They are funny and impressionable and difficult and I love every minute of it.
L-Laughter. I mean honestly. What is a day without a good belly laugh?
M- Macarons. We all knew this one was happening right? Aaaannnnddd….look what I found whilst roaming around Pike Place Market with the fam on Saturday? You guessed it! I bought one of every flavor. (chocolate is missing because you-know-who scarfed it down already)
N- NEWS! I have some. It’s coming, I promise. This week!
O- Oats! Not eating as often now that summer has actually come to Seattle and its warm, but this is one breakfast food that will likely be a part of my life forever. Just so versatile.
P- Paul!! My love. My best friend.

Q- Quinoa. LOVING this stuff. Stalking blogs for recipes. If you’ve got a good one, let me know.
R- Running. It may not seem like it since I haven’t been doing it for a while. But even the “bad” runs, were always still good. Invigorating. Challenging. Looking forward to getting back into it.
S- Seattle. I love this city so much. I am so grateful and thankful that God brought me here 5 years ago. Truly one of the most beautiful places on earth to live (IMO) and I have learned and grown so much since coming here that it will always hold a very special place in my heart.
T- Teaching! Teaching another class starting in August and maybe (just maybe) there might be more in my future???
U- Underwear? Idk…U is hard and when I think about it…I would NOT be happy without it.
V- The Village Church. I listen to sermon on the app or podcast almost every day on my drive home from work. Love them.

W- Winning! I won TWO blog giveaways recently. More to come on them both!
X- Xenodochy. Yep. Big fan. Look it up.
Y- Yo-Fro? I haaad to get Fro-Yo in here and this was the best way I could do it. Deal.
Z- Zyrtec. Every day I take it. Makes me not sneeze. That makes me happy.
What is ONE thing that makes you happy?

I think you meant “T” is for Toby
I love quinoa. I’ve been making quinoa flake breakfast bakes in the microwave. Mix some stuff. Pour into bowl greased with coconut oil and microwave for 3 and a half minutes. I usually do 1/2 cup quinoa flakes (they are in the organic cereal section of our grocery, by the granola), 1/2 cup applesauce or mashed banana or both, cinnamon, vanilla extract, some berries, maybe some chia seeds. It’s all good.

What a great list!!! Apple computers, my dog, quinoa, and Yo Fro
make me happy too!
Your lil doggy was hiding under the covers!!!! So cute!
Many little things make me happy, like the sound of air conditioning at night (or heat in the summer), popping my gum (yep, I’m a popper), and of course my little frenchie girl

Here’s a vote for sharing the old journals. Because… Joanna and I were cleaning out some old boxes and what in the world did I find?
Only several unmailed letters written by a much younger version of my wife to Star Trek the Next Generation actors. Hilarious. If a 12 year old girl could ever get the attention of uber-famous superstars like Brent Spiner (Lt. Data) and Marina Sirtis (Deanna Troi), what questions would she ask???
I keep telling her we need to scan and post them.
Or maybe I’ll just use them as blackmail.

ummm that is seriously awesome, because I distinctly remember SENDING (yes it went out in the mail) a fan letter to Wil Wheaton when I was about the same age. I was so in love with him. I have no idea how I even figured out an address (no internet?) but I got a postcard with his picture on it back from him. Made my YEAR! LOL

Haha, I’d hate to play Scrabble with you if words like “yo-fro” pop up on the board! Though I do like your list and your flip-flops are cute! One thing that makes me happy? Being creative in the kitchen!

Aww! I’m so glad you did this! Got to know more about you which is always a good thing
. First of all, I really gotta figure out this whole podcast thing. I know I know..I’m just really behind on times..I recently converted to the wonderful world of smart phone, so I’ve still got a lot to learn. I’d love to listen to The Village sermons during my long commutes!
I can’t wait to hear about your big news! And I hope to visit Seattle someday..And you SHOULD share your journal with us..And…You see where this is going. Too many things to comment on
. Hope you have a wonderful day, sista!

well…..since you have a smartphone the podcast thing is EASY! All you gotta do is download the village church app. From there you can listen to any of the sermons from the past few years. No downloading/syncing…nothing. Just get the app and you are good to go!
