6 weeks.

Kid free.

Before we get to that….some scenes from our packed weekend.

2012-07-14 09.52.26

Biked to the market by our house…

2012-07-14 09.53.27

Saw the biggest donuts I have ever laid eyes on…(this is the reason you eat bkfast before you leave the house….so you can have the power to resist!)

2012-07-14 10.03.42

Kids got to decorate their own (smaller) version…

2012-07-14 11.01.38

Headed over to the trail and did 8 miles.

Kaylee on Kyle’s road bike was about the cutest thing I ever did see

2012-07-14 11.24.44

Seeing scenes like this fill me with intense joy and sadness in one instant moment. Can’t believe we are leaving this gorgeous place and at the same time immensely thankful that we GOT to live here.

Sustenance

 2012-07-14 14.58.02

The water!

 2012-07-14 15.10.44

Pretty sure Kyle was trying to torture her, per usual.

2012-07-14 15.35.29

Love this one

2012-07-14 15.43.43

Sleepless in Seattle house…haven’t been this close before!

2012-07-14 15.55.17

Since I’m always the one taking the pictures….

2012-07-14 21.03.27

After a day of biking and rowing….there is only one real option for desert

The kiddos left to spend 6 weeks in another state with their mom. Kyle will be back right before we get all packed up and start to make the drive to California.

So the question remains….what should Paul and I do while they are gone?

All suggestions welcome***

***note….walking around naked, eating every type of food that the kids hate, and not using the phrases “please turn it down”,  ”clean up your mess” and “why are your shoes right here?” are ALREADY on the list….

Ooh, I like seeing the Sleepless in Seattle house…I love that movie! 6 weeks without kids means you should stay up late and be loud….and sleep in every morning! :)

As They Might Be Giants would say . . . S-E-X-X-Y. Oh wait, you already covered that.

Hmmmm….how bout a motorcycle trip? Not sure if you or Paul have your license, or bikes for that matter, but that is what Mike and I would do.

Vacation to Hawaii? Explore more of the city before you move? Eat dessert for breakfast everyday because you don’t have to set a good example? Clean the house and . . . gasp . . . have it stay that way? Wait, no, you still have a husband there (ok ok, that was a dig at my own husband…we’ll see if he’s reading this). And I’m out.

Well Paul has a bike but I don’t. And his is one of those zoom zoom fast little crotch rockets. Not so fun for two peeps. We are going to Mexico and I do have a few plans to explore the city some more. Dessert for breakfast sounds fab and yep, having the house stay clean is a for sure lost cause….I resisted the urge to ask him why his shoes were in the hallway this morning. I said, “no cinnamon, just say no…” ;)
