Welcome to the 2nd official 23Paws paarrrrtaaaaay!
I am sooo excited to see what everyone has come up with to share about their pets this month. I have seriously enjoyed this little party for the past couple of months (test run, Party #1) and am hopeful that more and more people will contribute every month! Going through all of the posts is seriously the highlight of not only my day but my week (maybe even my month?) So spread the word and tell all your friends who love pets to join in on the fun!!

I’m not sure why but for some reason I never think to take video of the pups doing the fun things that they do. I am quick to pull out the camera or the phone and get some shots (which is hard enough because they are always moving at the last second) but I never think to hit “record” and catch the entirety of whatever is going on.
Well, I have been trying to get better at it and decided it was time to share some vids of the pup-a-roos that make me laugh until I cry. I have no idea if you will find them as funny as I do, but I am hopeful (crossing fingers!!) If you do find them funny then that means we can still be friends.
1) This one is from a while back when Chloe was still here and gracing us with her presence. Anyone out there who has more than one dog can probably relate to this, but anytime we give each of the pups a bone or rawhide, it never fails they will abandon their individual bones and fight over ONE bone between the three of them. They just HAVE to have the one that the other dog has. It’s quite ridiculous and HI.larious at the same time.
In this video Chloe was the keeper of the bone and she was not letting it go no matter WHAT!
2) This video was from the other day. We all know about Guinness and Paul and their inapppropriate love affair. Guinn likes to cozy up with him and then when Paul goes to pet him, his back leg just shoots straight up and things start to get racy. He does this all the time and we find it quite hysterical. Obvs.
3) Lastly, Guinn in trouble with a capitol T. I had gotten home a little while before this and Guinn greeted me at the door with some incriminating tissue stuck in his mouth. Well well well, what had bad dog done?
Come to find out he had gotten into the trash again. He always acts super guilty whenever he does something wrong and cowers and shakes and does everything in his power to avoid the place where he was “bad dog.” This time we got it on video.
Important to note, Paul and I were laughing the entire time this was going on because he acts so scared like we beat him or something. Usually we just tell him he is “bad dog” and we “aren’t friends” for like 5 min and then we go back to giving him belly scratches and ear rubs. Total suckers.

I am so in love with 23 PAWS!! Tonka does the same exact thing as Guinness… and I just can’t stay mad at him and he knows it! Rusty has a weak stomach and often has messy accidents on the carpet, so everyday when I get home from work we celebrate “no poops!” (there’s clapping and high pitched voices– he loves it!) and the look on his face when he does have an accident is so sad I just *can’t* be angry! I love the video idea, Cinnamon– will have to steal that for next month! ^_^

yep, every 23rd of the month, no matter what day of the week it falls on. Just easier to remember a date as opposed to the third Monday of the month or whatever! SO YES!!! Come back next month and link up. I LOVE shih tzu’s!!! I will probably stalk your blog in the mean time for cute pics….but def come and link up next month. The FIRST thing Chloe did when she got to my house (like coming in the front door) was put Kirby (who outweighs her by 15 pounds!) in his place. He raced over to renew their old love affair, and she promptly took his head off. Of course, she was still stressed out from the long air flight! She’s been here about 3 months now, and they are finally beginning to play a little. One tough little chick!
Oh I’m glad to hear they are playing a little finally. She seriously is such a jerk sometimes. But she is the princess so she gets to be however she wants I guess?
Give her a belly scratch from me, k?

1. Milkbone Standoff – hahaha! What’s she doing with a bone that’s bigger than her arm?? I love it when somebody just says, “EAT IT!”
2. Guinness showing the goods – hehehe! Dogs are so funny when they do the leg thing, what a cute little guy!

haha thanks Jennifer! I know isn’t that bone that Chloe has ridiculous. We give them the big ones just b/c we think its funny that they carry them around all proud and they keep dropping them b/c they are so heavy. We are so mean. And yes that Guinn…he is REALLY REALLY guilty. Cute lil guy. ha!

These videos are hilarious! The one of Guinness with your husband is so, so sweet. It reminds me of my parents’ mini schnauzer mix – he loves everyone, but especially my dad. My dad is constantly holding him on his back like a baby.
The last video totally reminds me of Honey! I cannot for the life of me get mad at her. She loves to get into the bathroom trash can, but every time I go to reprimand her, I just burst out laughing and have to look away. She just looks so guilty already, I can’t discipline her!

I love it that I’m not alone in the lack of punishment department. Its just too funny and cute how they totally know they did something bad. Yet they keep doing it. I think we are the suckers. ha. love it!
And yes, my Dad is the same way. Carrying around pups like babies. So sweet.

PUHAHAHHAHA!! Cinnamon, you’re brilliant capturing these moments on video!! Kona doesn’t have any siblings so he never has to share anything..but when he’s with his cousins while we’re away on vacation, boy, I hear it’s not pretty. He gets VERY POSSESSIVE of his food! And seeing Chloe tense up is hilarious! It might be what I look like if somebody was eyeing my purse

And how could you not forgive Guinness when he’s so ashamed and repentant?!? I couldn’t even stay “mad” for more than a minute! Kona’s the SAME way!! In the beginning when he was diaper trained, he went missing overtime he peed elsewhere. And when we did find him, he was inside his crate, hiding!
Your precious ones are sooo full of personality, just like their mommy!!! Thanks for hosting this wonderful party!!

Well Kona is lucky he doesn’t have to share, but if you ever got another dog, I bet something similar would happen. Its so funny to see them be so territorial and possessive. Even when they all have one of the same thing. Crazy pups. So much entertainment.
So glad you liked the videos and loved Kona’s submission. I’m gonna keep going to look at those puppy pics all day probably. they are melting my heart!!
