Hello there! Miss me?
I sure miss you all. Whoever you are. I mean, I know who some of you are…but to those of you who I don’t know…I missed you too. Just wanted you to know.
First off….thank you to my guest posters. I sincerely appreciate you taking good care of my little home on the web while I was away! Hugs to you all.
Second off (still not right and still going with it)……
……Vacation is the best isn’t it?
- No to do lists
- No schedules
- No expectations
- No pressures
- No cooking
- No cleaning
I know all vacations aren’t like this, but ours was and it was glorious.
Of course, we are back and there are lots of to do lists, schedules, expectations and cooking and cleaning to do. On top of working AND preparing for the class that I am teaching beginning Wednesday! Yikes! That crept up on me.
For now, a synopsis. To come, the full deets.
Last Sunday, we headed to Cabo san Lucas, Mexico (or Baja California Sur) not really sure which is correct so I will just use both.
We almost missed our flight

We enjoyed our view from our balcony

We enjoyed the view from the pool

We ate

We drank

We were silly

We spent some time on the beach even though we couldn’t swim in the ocean (undertow). Story about those ropes and the undertow to come….

We swam laps (a lot)

We shopped (a lot)

We enjoyed sunsets

We drank some more

We ate some more

We read

We saw the Arch

We snorkeled

We Office-ed (<—- best meal EVER)

We took silly artistic pictures

We laughed at the graphic images they put on cigarette boxes

We were patient while I took pictures of food

maybe not…
We pooled

We drank some more

We made our flight home, relaxed, tan and happy

Maybe a little too happy considering we were on our way home?
There you have it. A full Cabo synopsis.
When was your last vacation?
Did I miss anything super exciting last week? We were pretty disconnected so let me know if there is something I NEED to know! I’m counting on you to keep me updated.

Oh, I miss vacation. The last real one we went on (not including trips to visit family) was March 2011. Granted it was to Hawaii and I got pregnant right after, but still. I’ll say it again…I miss vacation.
When you do your full fledged post, will you mention which hotel you stayed at and how you liked it? It looks like a Riu hotel I almost stayed at…

It is so beautiful in Cabo!!! I was there a few years ago and loved it! I haven’t gone on a big vacation this summer because I’m saving up for my Round The World ticket next May. I’m also going to Vegas in November

Round the World??!?! That sounds exciting! What is that! And VEGAS is ALWAYS a good time. When we move we will be about 4 hours away by car…so I’m sure we will have some weekend trips ahead of us!!
Aww!! You guys are adorable and so silly! Love it! Glad you had such a wonderful getaway! Tim and I went to Puerto Vallerta back in March to celebrate our 5 year anniversary, and it really was an amazing experience! Having nothing to do but to eat, drink, read, tan, be goofy..what can be better than that? And yes, you guys do look way too happy to be returning home haha! Good to have you back, Cinnamon! Missed you!!

WOW. Sounds like a great vacation! Almost as good as your honeymoon. Getting those feet back on the ground will, no doubt, take some work.
