Its no secret that we miss our little Chloe girl. How could we not miss this face?

2012-04-04_1333514087

In honor of my little princess I am going to tell you a story. A story of Chloe and the onion.

One day we were making something in the kitchen. Whatever it was we were making required onions.

I threw on my goggles and got down to business.

We are big fans of having begging dogs under our feet at all times in the kitchen so we make sure to always give them things from the counter to make sure they come back.

This particular day, we decided to let them try out the onions. Maybe that would get them to come around more often.

Threw some onions on the ground and Mr. Guinness and stinky Toby both approached, sniffed and turned up their nose. The audacity.

Here comes Miss princess Chloe girl to inspect what is going on.

What do you know?

She crunched that onion.

She crunched it good.

Both Mr. Guinness and stinky Toby looked at Chloe crunching that onion and promptly looked back at the onion on the ground.

Looked at her.

Looked at onion.

Then they went back to that onion that was previously abandoned and decided if it was good enough for princess, it was good enough for them (we are assuming of course, they didn’t tell us that.) So they gave it a whirl.

Both of them.

Big ‘ol crunch.

And both promptly spit it back out on the floor.

If Chloe could bust out laughing, I’m sure she would have.

She’s a crafty little gal. I sure do miss her and her antics. Soon, she will be home and order can restore itself in our home.

Oh and since last month’s videos were so fun….

Here is another video of Guinness being equal parts cute and annoyingly noisy. He is super smart and knows his right from his left.

Kind of.

Please don’t mind the part where Paul beats Toby and if you hate barking then you will hate this video. We aren’t fans of unnecessary barking either, but for some reason this day, we were thoroughly amused.

Alrighty, lets see what you’ve got this month!

Oscar won’t touch onions either, well, unless momma is reaching down to pick it up. Then he pounces!

Oh man and when Kona learns right and left you have to post a video!! Then I will show the video to Guinn. :)
I had no idea about the onions, but thanks for the warning! Luckily little Chloe girl was A-ok. I’ve had dogs eat tons of chocolate before too on accident and they were fine. But you just never know so its good to be careful!

You have the cutest dogs. The video is adorable – I can get my dogs to bark by saying “look”. And, I wrote about random things that my dog likes to eat today too. I love having a day dedicated to my fur babies. Thanks for hosting the blog hop

I love onions! But I thought I’d share some info with you and the other pet people. Onions and garlic can be toxic-even deadly-to dogs and cats. Along with alcohol, caffeine, chocolate, fatty foods, grapes, raisins, Macadamia nuts, non sugar sweeteners, salt, and yeast dough. Thought I’d share since you’ll soon be cooking up a strorm. Obviously little Chloe survived because she is a Burquena from the 505.

So basically what you are saying is don’t feed our dogs anything we have in our house. B/c I think you mentioned our whole kitchen ;-) J/k. thanks for the warning friend!! Luckily Chloe girl was A-ok. And you are right, it is b/c of her 505 roots. That’s why the boys don’t mess with her. She will cut them.

isn’t the dynamic between two (or more) just so interesting. They are like us, they are just more bold about it and don’t try to cover it up. Love it.
