updates, yo!

I know I know…I’ve been meaning to provide an update. Its been almost a WEEK! Yikes.

After I got this on the Twitter, I knew that I really needed to get on it.

Thanks Joanna for the nudge. I think I needed one to get my butt in gear.

sidenote—(sorry about the yo up there in the post title. Too much Breaking Bad. Jesse is rubbing off on me. “I got fat stacks, yo!”) 

So I have decided that in addition to providing updates, I’m going to attempt to discuss some things that I hope to post on in the future. Gonna try and interweave the two if possible…a little of this if you will.

Get it? I hope so.

Working is winding down. Some tears have been shed and I’m sure more are coming. Lots of cleaning out desks and emails. Enjoying what I can already feel is the reduction of the “pressure” that a full time job provides. Five more days to go and then I will no longer be a part of the place that has been my 2nd home for 6 years, 11 weeks and 2 days. On the upside, I’m pretty excited to be able to talk more openly about my (soon to be former) job and what I did/do and all that jazz. Whaddaya think? Excited to know about where I work/ed? Its not as snoozefest as it may sound. I do work in HR after all. I think this deserves a post. Or two. Or more.

I have officially used up all of our Groupons/LivingSocials/Amazon local/Google offers/Plum District deals. I think. Speaking of Living Social, I had a downright horrible experience trying to redeem one. I even had to write up a Yelp review it was so bad. I think this deserves a post. Here is a hint for those of you who don’t already know the story.

Paul and I did a murder mystery boat cruise thingy. Surprisingly, it wasn’t that fun. I think this deserves a post.

Moving somewhere and not having an address pretty much sucks. Trying to get a PO Box set up in another state is also a very fun experience and I think everyone should try it at least once. I’m lying in case you couldn’t tell. Maybe this deserves a post?

Triathlon training is going pretty well. I got in a 10 mile bike ride and a lake swim.

One more lake swim and hopefully another couple long bike rides and we will be set. I’m not too worried about the run because its only a mile and a half and if all else fails I can walk it. No biggs. Prob a few posts on this as well (as well as the big day when it gets here)

Got this in the mail and this def deserves a post all on its own. Mostly because a couple of  items in this box have made their way into some super awesome videos. Yep, I know. I’m SUCH a tease.

Ok I think that’s it. Packing is going well. Drive down is pretty much planned. Thanks to Rebecca from Blueberry Smiles for all the awesome San Fran recommendations! And it think (or I hope I guess) that it goes without saying that I am super excited for things to calm down so I can get back to blog reading to see how everyone is doing. I miss my peeps!

Now I have a “to-do post” reminder list and have provided updates as requested. Mission accomplished.
