Last day. I did it. NaBloProMo #1 in the books.
I am thankful for tenacity.
Is someone going to get me a blue ribbon?
I am thankful for the color blue. Its so soothing.
A cookie at least?
I am very thankful for cookies.
So to wrap this up I thought I would provide a snippet of all of the “thankful posts” that I have done this month. Its this probably annoying (I’m sure some people think its annoying) thing that some people do (me included) where they put something they are thankful for on FB every day for the whole month. I like the idea because it keeps me focused on being grateful and thankful for the things in my life instead of complaining, wanting or feeling entitled.
I am thankful for having the ability to give thanks.
This life of mine is full and awesome and blessed.
I am thankful for my life.
Funny enough, I don’t know where Day 1 is. Can’t find it anywhere and I am now vaguely remembering that maybe I didn’t do one. Go figure. I thought briefly about not doing one on the last day of the month, you know, to even it out but then I decided not to.
I am thankful for the ability to change my mind over meaningless details.

Thanks for loving me in spite of my utter disinterest in facebook. Thanks for the encouragement and joy of your Christian witness. Thanks for sharing my love of dogs and Lobos. Thanks for giving me a wonderful son-in-law, two amazing grandchildren, and three adorable granddogs. Thanks for everything you’ve taught me over the years. And thank God for everything that you are.
