First things first. This months 23Paws falls on a Wednesday. CATASTROPHE!! Wednesdays are for WIAW right???? Not to fret though, I have a plan on how to combine the two.
Don’t worry it doesn’t involve me having 0 dogs instead of 3 going forward.
Here is a hint.

Ok on to the weekend shenanigans. Paul was off on Friday (and today for that matter, hence my disappearance from all things online.) Those cute dimples and blue eyes distract me every time!
Friday we took pups to the new pet store in town, Desert Dog. They have these wash stations where you can wash your pups and they provide shampoo and towels and a dryer and brushes and all the works. Since the three fools like to run the fence and talk to the neighbor pups and get all dirty and smelly we decided to give them a warsh down.

Now they all smell nice and pretty! The cost is $14 which may seem kind of steep just to wash your dog, but if you have a really big dog and can’t wash them in the tub or sink at home this would be a great option. The sprayer was really easy to use and the tubs are big and the whole process is just easier. We wanted to just try it out and support local business at the same time. They had a punch card for buy 5 washes and get one free so that is cool too!
After dog washing we went home and did some projects. Paul put up a couple of curtain rods and then we also put in a new faucet in the kitchen sink. I was really bugged by the old one because it was too low and there was no sprayer. This makes washing pots and pans (and crock pots) pretty much a nightmare which may or may not lead to “angry dishes.” Anywho, we got a new one and Paul went to work.
Here is the old one.

There was some plumbers crack goin on at one point during this installation, but I am kind enough not to show you that pic. There is a pic though, don’t worry.
And the new one!

Much better!
I also got the opportunity to play around with the new camera and try out the shutter speed.

I am obviously working on exposure as well. (see how the photos get progressively lighter?) I have read a lot and it is making sense to me, I just need to practice practice practice!!!
Friday night and Saturday I went to a women’s conference that was happening in town. A lady named Judy Hampton came and spoke to women from churches all across the area.

What a blessing this was!! I got so much out of the conference and was convicted and challenged by much of what Judy spoke about. I also had the opportunity to meet some people and hopefully make some connections in town. Let me tell you it was nice to have some conversation again!
We also got some yummy lunch on Saturday.

More to share on this conference later…..
This weekend I also did some more playing around with the camera….

see the difference?
***Sidenote. I broke this mug this morning. SAD FACE. I was carrying it to the kitchen and my hand hit the edge of the trash can and it flew out and shattered. I was devastated. I am pretty sure my bestest friend Brandy gave me this mug a few years ago and it was my all time favorite. Perfect size, never got to hot on the outside or handle and was such a pretty color. Sad Cinnamon right here. I will miss that mug.

more crochet, Lobo style.

and of course….my favorite practice subjects. Good thing they like to have their picture taken!
Last night we had some friends over for dinner and they showed up with a dog. Wasn’t their dog, he was just hanging out in our yard and then when they came in he decided he would come hang out too! No idea who he belongs too but we are in the process of getting him back with his family. He sure was a cute little guy and had a great time running around with Toby and Guinn. Chloe didn’t like him so much but she never likes anyone (dog wise) so we weren’t all surprised.

He would hardly stand still for me to get a pic!
Tell me one thing you did this weekend!

I had to do 23 Paws a day early this month. It was either that or make dog desserts. That would have been an interesting post . . . Anyway, I love playing with shutter speed though I don’t do enough of it. Looking at all your new camera pictures, I think one thing is quite clear. Your best pictures are of the dogs (except that last fuzzy one)!!! Perhaps you should be a pet photographer. Dog food for thought.

Someone else said that too. Maybe pet photography is in my future, who knows? My dogs love the camera though so I have it easy with them.

My in-laws have the same (old) faucet and I hate it! With the attachment and everything. Ugh. So hard to wash dishes, and I am already worried about making a mess because it’s not my house. That’s so great you got a new one!
I didn’t do much this weekend, but next weekend I am taking a pastry class and going on some house tours *fingers crossed*.

Love the puppy pics … so darn cute! You are getting quite skilled with that camera. I wish I had a nice camera … one day!
Most of our weekend was spent doing boring adult errands and working on Addie’s nursery. Fun stuff!

Can’t WAIT to see pics of the nursery!! I might have to make little Addie something with my new crochet skillz.
btw…my friend here has a daughter whose name is Addison too! Such a great name. Love it.

Those doggie bath tubs are so big! You could fit 30 Chloes in one tub. I love the new camera photos – wishing you were here to go to Angie Arms class with Devon this weekend
Gosh me too!! When I saw she was doing a class I was SO SAD I couldn’t go. I totally would have. Devon will have a GREAT time. Maybe she can teach me when she’s done!!

That’s so funny you mentioned WIAW and 23 PAWS – I was just thinking about that this AM – if I should do a post about what the dogs eat?!

RIP perfect mug.
its a dark day here in the Wolfe house.
Well, if you don’t find that little dog’s parents, send him to us. What a cutie.
The Lobo crochet is great! Keep up the good work. Two BIG games this week: Colorado State in the PIT on Wednesday (5PM your time on CBSSN), and at San Diego State on Saturday, where you will proudly represent the family. We will be looking for you in the crowd and expecting you to cheer them on to VICTORY!!!
At this point we are the only unbeaten team in the conference. Surviving the week in that condition would be sweet.
very very excited for the game on Saturday. I will hopefully represent well! Woof Woof Woof!
SDSU is coming off a BAD loss on Saturday to Wyoming. Hopefully they will not be fully recovered by next Saturday …
Oh my goodness adorable. we used to clean our dog by ourselves but after a disaster in the bathtub we now just take her somewhere. she hates getting cleaned for the life of her
