If you’ve been to Seattle (more than a couple of days) and it was clear for any portion of your visit (I know….rare) you are familiar with Mt. Rainer. The mountain is as much Seattle as the Space Needle is. You can see it better from some places than others, but if you have driven over th I-90 bridge on a clear summer day you know one thing for sure.
It’s breathtaking.
I could dig up countless photos of Mt. Rainer from all of my various adventures around Seattle. From the ferry, from the airport, across the bridge, on Cougar mountain, on top of the Space Needle, on the Harbor tour, in the little space between the two mountains as you approach exit 17 off of I-90 in Issaquah (that one is a rare sighting but pretty awesome when you catch it)….as you are driving in your neighborhood…..

Its there. To greet you and say, “yes you do live in one heck of an awesome place.”
Right before we moved away, we had the opportunity to go up (not climb up to the top mind you) to Mt. Rainer to check it out. I had never been so close to it before. We took a day trip with our friends Ryan and Maddy and had great day exploring, laughing and viewing firsthand and up close the amazing beauty of God’s created world. Enjoy!

Have you ever been to Mt. Rainier?
